Stump Grinding Questions
How much does stump grinding cost?
Pricing depends on factors like stump size, type of wood, depth of grind, and accessibility. Contact us for a free quote!
How deep do you grind stumps?
We typically grind stumps 4-6 inches below ground level. This ensures that the stump is fully removed while allowing for grass or other vegetation to grow back naturally. If you need a deeper grind for specific landscaping needs, we can adjust the depth as requested. Our goal is to leave the area in a condition that makes it easy for you to move forward with your lawn or garden plans.
Will the stump grow back after grinding?
Once a stump is ground, it generally won’t grow back, as the roots and the stump’s ability to regenerate are removed. However, certain tree species are hardier than others, and in some cases, they may send up new shoots or suckers. If we identify a particularly resilient species during the grinding process, we may grind deeper to ensure the roots are completely removed, preventing regrowth. We’ll assess the situation on-site and take the necessary steps to ensure a thorough job.
What happens to the wood chips after grinding?
The wood chips are left on-site as mulch unless you request removal, which we can do for an additional fee.
Can you grind a stump that’s close to a structure or utility lines?
In most cases, yes! We carefully assess each situation to ensure safe grinding near homes, driveways, and utility lines.
Land Clearing Questions
Do you remove tree debris and roots?
Yes, we can remove tree debris and grind down the roots. If you prefer, we can leave the mulch or debris on-site, or we can haul it away for disposal.
What types of land clearing do you handle?
We clear residential properties, brush, trees, and shrubs. Whether it’s for a new build, garden, or just clearing space, we’ve got you covered.
How long does land clearing take?
The time depends on the size of the area and the type of vegetation. We’ll provide an estimated time frame during our assessment.
Will you level the ground after clearing?
While we mainly focus on clearing, we can also level the ground if needed for your project.
Do I need a permit for land clearing?
Permits may be required depending on your location and the size of the project. We recommend checking with your local zoning office, and we can help guide you through the process if needed.
